How To Care For Pastel Hair
It goes without saying that you’ll need to ramp up your hair care routine if you are planning on keeping your pastel locks all summer. Here are a few tips on how to care for pastel hair...
● Go sulfate-free: You may already have a favorite shampoo and conditioner, but it’s worth considering going sulfate-free if you are serious about pastel hair maintenance. Sulfate-free products maintain the natural oils on the scalp and hair, which ultimately leaves your hair with more moisture.
● Add a hair mask to your routine: Once or twice a week, make sure you replenish your locks with a hair mask to help maintain the integrity of your hair. ● Air-dry & add oil: Where possible, leave your locks to air-dry from time to time to prevent further damage to your hair and seal in moisture with hair oil. Just apply 1-3 drops and work through wet hair before letting it air-dry, or use as a hydrating overnight mask; simply work through the hair and rinse in the morning.
● Protect from heat: If you’re not able to always dry your hair in the open (time isn’t always on our side after all) make sure you spray your strands with a heat protectant spray first or at least consider a hairdryer that allows you to control the temperature and pressure of air.
